DISTRIBUTION
The extra space in the store has already proven its worth as we are now handling and distributing semen from seven large overseas AI companies (from 7 different countries) on behalf of their retail partners here in the UK. Some of these companies are using UK Sires as their EU hub. We have decided to use the opportunity of the move to review and update our software and handling systems to offer greater efficiency and security. Wendy and Tim are working with Chris Weaver on this and we will be putting this software package in place shortly.
As we move further away from the ravages of Foot and Mouth and BSE we are making considerable progress with exports, which I will say more about later. But at store level, this increase in workload has made a dramatic effect on the usage of extra tanks and liquid nitrogen. We enjoy a very strong working partnership with MVE tanks in the States and are proud to be able to offer excellent discount prices on these, the “John Deere” of tanks. Contact Tim for full details.
