• The year of the Jersey?
The world Jersey conference is to be held on the Island of Jersey in May 2008. The Pre-Conference tour of herds is based in England with a show of Jerseys at the Devon County Show. UKSS will be involved and are one of the sponsers for the event. There is enormous interest in outcross genetics, especially for a robust, structurally correct cow that is highly fertile and produces well in old age. Two highly respected breeders from America who are marketing Jersey semen in the States have just visited England and the Island. Once again, they were delighted with the quality and consistency of the cattle they saw.
