Semen processed during the year ending on 31st March, 2007 was up a colossal 67% to 314,000 doses over the previous year. There are several factors involved. UKSS has built a worthy reputation for service & quality product and is offering this on the world stage as we regain momentum in the export trade. We have worked hard to consistently improve this service by constantly looking at the very best feed and mangement of the bulls and by looking at ways where we can help customers bring their bulls to us or take them home. For instance, we have collected semen from many bulls from Scotland and the North of England of late and in nearly every case we have been able to consolidate return journeys saving travel costs. In March 2006, we decided to change from a silage based diet to hay and the dryness of the dung and consistency of the feed has helped overall management. We pride ourselves on the quality of semen produced and we have had compliments from all over the world during the year.
