Out in the Yard as stockmen we have another former SCBC man Kevin Summers and Peter Booth, or “Mr Jersey” as we like to call him after his great influence within the breed over the years. Kevin and his young family live on site to give us 24-hour cover in case of any emergency. Finding suitable bulls to come to both studs is very much a team effort under the direction of Rob Wills. This is carried out with prospective domestic and export sales very much in mind. Keeping us all on our toes as Book-Keeper is Anne Walter-Symons, who works on a part time basis. Finally, we are delighted to be working closely with Jim Cameron, MBE who oversees the management of the bulls at Spylaw Farm, Kelso. Jim’s record within the industry is second to none and was acknowledged by the award of the MBE a few years ago when he was working for Scotsire at Perth. Jim also collects semen on farm right across Scotland and Northern England which is sent to our laboratory in Devon for processing. Jim is joined by two other stalwarts of the AI Industry, Robert Goodey and Bob Mallet, who cover the rest of England and all of Wales for on farm collections. The team covers all bases and is always pleased to try and help our clients with their particular requests.

UKSS has so far collected semen from over 600 bulls representing 36 breeds in the last nine years. Many of the bulls are of great interest to the export market. To see details of the bulls, please click the boxes below.
